Qld: Mature tourists to be lured to outback Queensland

BARCALDINE, Qld, Jan 21 AAP - The Queensland Government will attempt to lure mature-age
tourists to the outback with a multimedia marketing campaign launched today.

Under the plan unveiled by premier Peter Beattie, older tourists in the self-drive
market will be encouraged to visit bush towns struggling under the burdens of increased
fuel costs and the GST.
