World success for tug stalwarts.

TWO local lads struck gold in the World Indoor Tug Of War Championships which took place in Killarney, Republic of Ireland, recently.

With indoor teams from around the world competing for the prized gold medals, Steve Morton from Whaley Bridge and Paul Harris from Flagg were pulling with the Manchester based Kilroe Tug Of War Club tug of war.

The competition is split into two events over the four-day period. The first two days are for the World 'Club' Championships where any club in the world can enter a team in the four weight divisions.
