Qld: Police work on description in missing boy case

Queensland police are hoping to put together a description of a man standing near missing
teenager DANIEL MORCOMBE just before he disappeared more than a week ago.

Police yesterday set up a mannequin dressed like DANIEL at the bus stop where he disappeared
on the Sunshine Coast hinterland, hoping to jog the memories of motorists.

The 13-year-old hasn't been seen since Sunday, December the 7th, as he waited for a
bus on the Nambour Connection Road.

Police say a witness saw a blue four-door sedan parked with its rear door open near
DANIEL at about the time he disappeared.

They want to speak to as many witnesses as possible before they release a description
of a man seen standing next to the car, believed to be a 1980s model.

Police also want to speak to a male cyclist seen riding on the Nambour Connection Road
near the Big Pineapple around the time DANIEL went missing.





DANIEL is described as 150cm tall with black hair, blue eyes, of slim build and a fair
complexion.

He was last seen wearing a red Billabong t-shirt and blue three-quarter length cargo-style
shorts.
