AEX Resin for Protein Purification

The Toyopearl Q-600C AR resins from Tosoh Bioscience, LLC are synthesized using a polymer chemistry, which balances ion exchange capacity with improved caustic stability. Its 750� pore size makes it a good selection for processes purifying proteins smaller than 100,000 daltons. Compared to Toyopearl QAE-550C resin, Toyopearl Q-600C AR resin particles have a larger pore diameter, but up to 3X higher dynamic binding capacity from improvements in ligand attachment chemistry. Process economics stand to benefit from the ability to clean Toyopearl Q-600C AR resin with 1.0 mol/L sodium hydroxide with minimal impact on dynamic binding capacity. The resin …
